Justinian I, 527-565. Follis (Bronze, 33 mm, 15.85 g, 6 h), a contemporary imitation of an issue from Constantinopolis, after 527. Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Justinian I to right; to right, blundered legend. Rev. Large M flanked by two stars; above, I set on short bar; below, A; in exergue, CO[...]. Cf. DOC 30 ff., MIB 83 and SB 160 (for prototype). Struck from somewhat worn dies and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
